Your Kids — and the Spring Birds — Will Love This Free Home Depot Workshop

Home Depot Kids Workshop Spring Fun for Kids

Searching for a springtime activity for the children that won’t have you emptying your wallet at the neighborhood craft shop?

Well, The Home Depot has an answer.

The home improvement chain is offering a complimentary kids’ workshop on April 7 where youngsters can assemble their very own window birdhouses.

These tiny dwellings attach to windows using small suction cups. One panel is a clear plastic sheet so your little ones can watch their winged visitors up close.

Adult guidance is required for this hands-on activity. Although the assembly instructions note the project isn’t appropriate for children under 4, younger children might still enjoy painting and decorating the finished birdhouse during the in-store session.

Besides getting to take home their DIY birdhouse, participants may receive a free workshop apron, a keepsake pin and a certificate of completion (while supplies last).

There’s no charge, but The Home Depot requests that attendees register online ahead of time. Sign up at your local store here. The session runs from 9 a.m. to noon.

If crafting birdhouses isn’t appealing to your youngsters, continue to monitor The Home Depot’s kids workshops page for upcoming programs. They host these events monthly at stores nationwide.

The home improvement retailer also frequently offers free classes for adults to pick up skills for future projects. Check your nearest store for information on upcoming sessions, and don’t forget to look into free home depot workshops for more options.
