Each quarter, Sam’s Club hosts complimentary health checks that would typically cost around $150 — and you don’t need a membership to participate.
This quarter’s event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 13.
Screenings offered include blood pressure, body fat percentage, blood glucose, total cholesterol and HDL (the “good” cholesterol). Some locations may also provide vision and hearing checks.
These services are only available at Sam’s Club locations that operate a pharmacy, and the testing window is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Find a club near you.
If Oct. 13 doesn’t fit your calendar, CVS is conducting comparable screenings through Dec. 16 in 11 metro areas. Plus, the pharmacy chain is offering a $5 in-store coupon to each participant who gets tested.
Not only will you avoid the expense of these tests, but detecting issues early can lead to less costly treatment down the line. Conditions such as high cholesterol, heart disease and diabetes are among those that can be identified and managed sooner when caught by these screenings. You can also consider free heart health screening options for more thorough checks.
And again — the screenings are free.
