Instead of another roundup of everyone’s favorite Prime Day steals, we dug through the site to find the most eyebrow-raising items marked down.
Here are six of the most laughable Prime Day “bargains” we discovered.
1. Pet Dryer With Variable Speed and Temperature Settings
It’s wild to think someone would spend more on a hair dryer for their dog than for themselves.
Yet this early Prime Day markdown on a specialty pet dryer could make that a reality — and might even be a money-saver if you’re switching to at-home dog grooming.
This souped-up unit reportedly gives “more than enough power” to tackle dogs with thick coats. It also boasts a low-noise motor, three nozzle attachments and an adjustable spring house.
Hopefully your furry friend appreciates the pampering.
2. Sailor Embracing a Mermaid Wall Print
Shopping for odd nautical decor?
Probably not. Still, this quirky poster of a sailor with his arm around a mermaid is delightfully odd.
Could be a fun present for the sailor — or mermaid — in your circle.
3. Robot Vacuum With Visual SLAM, Multi-Level Mapping, Wi‑Fi and Alexa Support
I used to think vacuuming was my least favorite chore.
But apparently my tolerance is low, because some people will drop over $300 on a robot vacuum to do the work for them. That’s the sale price — this model normally rings up at $749.99!
We’re also puzzled by a couple of features: the vacuum includes a camera function. You can take photos and even use its microphone to speak through the robotic unit.
Why? Beats us.
4. Octopus-Shaped Ice Tray
We can’t quite explain what would compel someone to buy this octopus ice tray — even with a Prime Day discount.
Still, here it is — in all its what-on-earth glory.
5. Halloween Articulated Fingers — 3D Printed Finger Extensions
Halloween is months away, but these odd finger extensions will instantly elevate the creep factor of any costume.
If skeletal, articulated fingers are your vibe — more power to you.
6. Rechargeable Electric Wine Preservation Device
This fancy electric wine preservation system might seem excessive — at least in my house, wine doesn’t stick around long enough to preserve.
It’s a bit over the top: the product claims you can open a bottle in eight seconds with the push of a button.
Can’t you open wine the old-fashioned way in, like, 20 seconds?
On the plus side, this early Prime Day offer trims 40% to 50% off depending on the color choice.
