Apple Raises Prices for Apple Music, Apple TV+ and Apple One

Apple Price Increase: Apple Music, TV+ & Apple One

Subscription costs throughout the entertainment sector are climbing, and Apple is no exception. The company revealed that subscription fees for Apple Music, Apple TV+ and Apple One are increasing effective immediately.

Apple explains its music service price hike stems from rising licensing expenses. The firm says this will help artists and songwriters “receive higher compensation for the streaming of their work.”

Subscribers to Apple Music will see individual plans rise to $10.99 monthly from $9.99, while family plans will go up to $16.99 monthly from $14.99. Annual individual plans will increase from $99 per year to $109 per year.

When Apple TV+ launched, it was priced competitively compared with other video streaming platforms at just $4.99 per month.

Monthly Apple TV+ subscribers will have their fees increased from $4.99 to $6.99. Annual subscribers will see the cost climb from $49.99 to $69 per year.

Apple says the change reflects the service’s expanding library of “award-winning and widely praised” programming.

Apple One bundles multiple Apple services—Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and iCloud+—into one package. Because Apple Music and Apple TV+ costs are rising, the Apple One bundle will also become pricier across all tiers.

Individual Apple One plans will increase from $14.95 to $16.95 per month, family plans will move from $19.95 to $22.95 per month, and the premier tier that includes Apple Fitness and Apple News+ will jump from $29.95 to $32.95 per month.

Despite the increases, Apple Music and Apple TV+ still offer competitive value. At $6.99 a month or $69 a year, Apple TV+ remains among the most affordable 4K ultra-high-definition, ad-free streaming services.

Apple Music now costs $1 more per month than Spotify. The platform still highlights unique capabilities like high-resolution lossless audio and a spatial audio surround-sound experience for selected tracks.
