If rummaging through your car’s cup holders for spare change or bagging your own groceries (gasp!) sounds unbearable, you may still find reasonably priced groceries from Aldi.
Following pilot tests of delivery through Instacart in Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles and Chicago, the company revealed on Sept. 18 plans to expand the service to all of its locations across 35 states by Thanksgiving.
Shoppers placing Aldi orders through Instacart can choose delivery windows as quick as one hour or schedule delivery up to a week after ordering. Instacart delivery charges vary, but Aldi’s announcement noted that new Instacart users can get $10 off each of their first three Aldi orders of $35 or more by entering the code ALDILOVE. That promotional code is valid through Feb. 28, 2019.
Grocery delivery platforms like Instacart generally charge between $6 and $12 for orders over $35, depending on demand. You can’t apply coupons when ordering through Instacart, though that doesn’t affect Aldi customers — the chain doesn’t provide coupons.
Aldi launched its Instacart pilot in August 2017. The grocer, which is pursuing an aggressive growth strategy, also announced last month it would add more fresh produce selections in its outlets.
