Frontier Airlines is rolling out a summer pass that provides unlimited travel from May through September for just $399.
It’s called the GoWild! Summer Pass. If you’re interested, you’ll want to move fast.
Frontier currently lists the pass at a limited-time price of $399, although the airline hasn’t specified how long that rate will be available.
With this pass, you can take as many flights as you like between May 1 and Sept. 30 (aside from roughly a dozen blackout dates that are published online). Given the five-month window, the offer could particularly appeal to students, educators and families planning summer trips.
Keep in mind, though, that Frontier is an ultra-low-cost carrier. It frequently receives complaints about service and imposes additional charges for things like drinks, carry-on luggage and assigned seats.
Even so, $399 for unlimited flights — albeit on a budget airline — is a compelling bargain if you intend to travel frequently.
How the Frontier Summer Pass Operates
For domestic routes, flights can be booked and confirmed as late as the day before departure; for international routes, bookings must be confirmed at least 10 days prior to departure.
Frontier also offers an annual all-you-can-fly option. Named the GoWild! Pass, the yearly pass has been available for a limited period for $599, covering unlimited flights from April 11, 2023 through May 2, 2024.
The GoWild! Summer Pass is nontransferable. Also important: unless you cancel after the summer ends, it will auto-renew for the following summer at a rate of $499.
Each flight effectively costs 1 cent, plus applicable taxes and additional charges such as checked baggage, carry-on luggage or preferred seating fees.
Currently, no other U.S. carrier is offering a similar unlimited-flight product. JetBlue once ran an “All You Can Jet” pass valid for a month, but that program has been discontinued except as a promotional prize on occasion.
