Frontier Airlines Is Selling Flights for $29 — But There’s a Deadline

Frontier 29 Flights — Limited $29 One-Way Fares

Frontier Airlines is marking its 29th anniversary with one-way fares beginning at just $29, though you’ll need to move fast to snag the promotion.

To qualify for the special price, you must complete your booking by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, July 20. That leaves only a short window to decide.

Here’s what you need to know:

The $29 fare requires purchasing your ticket at least 21 days before departure, which means travel can’t begin until Aug. 10. These discounted fares are valid for travel through Nov. 15.

Frontier says the reduced fares apply to nonstop flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays in select markets — with two blackout dates: Sept. 5 and Oct. 10. You can read Frontier’s announcement here.

Those are the restrictions to keep in mind. Even so, an airline seat for $29 remains a remarkable deal.

“We’re celebrating our 29th birthday by thanking our customers with a truly first-of-its-kind offer,” said Tyri Squyres, Frontier’s vice president of marketing, in the airline’s release. “This offer won’t be around long, so now is a great time to plan some memorable fall trips.”

Remember: the $29 fares are one-way; you don’t have to buy a round-trip ticket.

What Else Is Included With Frontier’s $29 Fares

The promotion goes beyond the low base fare.

For an additional $29, you can purchase a package called “The Perks,” which bundles a carry-on, a checked bag and the option to pick your seat.

Alternatively, a $49 package called “The Works” is available and includes a refundable ticket option.

Both add-ons also include one complimentary flight change.

“This is the first time we’ve offered ‘The Perks’ and ‘The Works’ bundles at such an affordable price,” Squyres noted.

Bookings are available through Frontier’s website. To access the free one-time flight change, travelers must select the “Flight Flexibility” option during booking.

Passengers who buy “The Perks” during this sale will earn double Frontier Miles; those who opt for “The Works” will receive triple Frontier Miles. Under normal circumstances, Frontier awards one mile per mile flown.

Based in Denver, Frontier is an ultra-low-cost carrier serving more than 100 destinations. It has also gained attention for offering the only all-you-can-fly pass in the U.S., the frontier all you can fly pass.

If you’re considering other seasonal deals, you might also look into the frontier airlines summer pass options and review luggage rules like the bags fly free policy before you finalize plans.

Frontier’s low-cost model has made it a popular choice for budget-conscious travelers looking to stretch their travel dollars.
