Need a handful of greeting cards? This week you can score them at no cost at CVS.
All that’s required is a CVS ExtraCare card, which you can grab at any of the nearly 10,000 CVS locations. This offer runs through Saturday, Dec. 24.
You can either pick up threeHallmarkcards free, or you can grab threeAmerican Greetingscards for 66 cents each.
One important detail: CVS stores generally carry either Hallmark or American Greetings, not both brands. If you’re unsure which brand your neighborhood store stocks, call ahead and ask. Here’s the store locator.
How the Offer Works
Hallmark: Print the clipped coupon found in the upper left corner of this page. This coupon takes $3 off when you buy three Hallmark cards priced $1.99 or higher. If you purchase three $1.99 cards, your register total would be $2.97 after coupons, but you’ll also receive $3 in ExtraCare Bucks through CVS’ rewards program.
Net cost: Free.
Of course, if you choose cards that cost more than $1.99, they won’t be entirely free — though they’ll still be inexpensive.
American Greetings: Print the clipped coupon located in the upper left corner of this page. This deal resembles the Hallmark offer but is slightly less generous.
You’ll get $2 off when you buy three American Greetings cards priced $1.99 or more. Your register total will be $3.97, and you’ll get $2 in ExtraCare Bucks, making the final cost $1.97 — or about 66 cents per card.
Thanks to the team at Wild For CVS for finding this promotion.
What Are ExtraCare Bucks?
Here at Savinly, we’ve found the CVS ExtraCare Rewards Program to be a handy way to cut costs.
ExtraCare Bucks (ECBs) function like CVS gift certificates, typically ranging from $1 to $10, and they print at the bottom of your receipt. They generally expire in 30 days, but you can use them immediately. You can even split your shopping into two transactions and apply ECBs earned from the first purchase — such as your greeting cards — toward a second purchase to reduce that total.
Now go explore the greeting card aisles.
