After years of crashing on couches and bunking in shared hostel dorms, I still get truly thrilled about spending a night in a hotel room. Especially a fancy one.
My wallet, however, leans the other way; it usually nudges me toward a tent or a hostel.
One thing my wallet and I can both agree on? Cyber Monday hotel bargains.
Each year I eagerly anticipate these reduced rates because they let me enjoy hotel comforts while paying far less than usual.
If you’re like me and planning some hotel getaways in the coming year, here are 10 hotel brands offering Cyber Monday deals.
1. Best Western Cyber Monday Deals
If you book and stay at a Best Western between now and Feb. 7, 2016, you’ll receive at least 10% off the “best value” rate at 1,200 participating North American hotels.
Best Western Rewards members who sign up here will earn 500 bonus points with every qualifying stay — and an extra 1,000 points when they reserve via the Best Western mobile app.
Free nights start at 8,000 points per night, so 1,500 points is a helpful head start.
Stacking offers when booking a hotel… Love it.
2. Choice Hotels Cyber Monday Deals
It’s not strictly a Cyber Monday sale, but Choice Hotels has a noteworthy promotion.
When you join Choice Privileges, you’ll get 4,000 points — and if you stay at one of its 5,500 properties before Dec. 11, 2015, you’ll earn another 4,000 points.
That gives you 8,000 points, which is enough for a free night at over 1,500 locations.
Pretty much like a buy-one-get-one, right?
3. Destination Hotels Cyber Monday Deals
Thinking of heading to New Orleans for Mardi Gras? Or maybe a ski getaway to Vail?
From Black Friday through Cyber Monday, Destination Hotels is discounting rooms 25–50% at properties in Chapel Hill, NC; Englewood, CO; Houston, TX; Leesburg, VA; New Orleans, LA; San Diego, CA; San Jose, CA; Santa Fe, NM; Stevenson, WA; Stowe, VT; Tarrytown, NY; Tempe, AZ; and Vail, CO.

4. Distinctive Inns Cyber Monday Deals
Dreaming of a romantic escape in New England? Check out this Cyber Monday promotion from Distinctive Inns.
This collection of upscale B&Bs and country inns across Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont is offering up to 50% off nightly rates.
5. Hilton Cyber Monday Deals
Beginning on Cyber Monday, Hilton will run its 72-Hour Cyber Sale, which offers up to 30% off across most brands — except Home2 and Hampton (20% off), while Hilton Grand Vacations isn’t included.
Only hotels in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean are participating, and travel must be completed between Dec. 20, 2015 and Feb. 29, 2016.
6. Howard Johnson Cyber Monday Deals
Good ol’ HoJo is putting its own twist on things.
Instead of Cyber Monday, it’s holding “Orange Wednesday” a few days later; during this event, you can book stays at 60% off at 19 properties in the U.S. and Canada.
Heads up: Only the first three callers get the discounted rate. If you find a hotel you want, call it directly just after midnight EST on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015. Stays must be completed by Mar. 2, 2016.
7. IHG Cyber Monday Deals
Savinly is based in Florida, and as someone from New York, let me say: Winter here is not the same kind of winter.
If you want to flee the cold, IHG’s Holiday Inn Club Vacations brand is offering 25% off the Best Flex rate at resorts in Orlando, Panama City, Marco Island and Cape Canaveral — all in Florida.
The deal runs from Nov. 30 through Dec. 31, 2015 and applies to stays between Dec. 2, 2015 and Feb. 29, 2016.
8. Marriott Cyber Monday Deals
Book between Black Friday and Cyber Monday and you can save up to 25% at more than 2,000 participating Marriott properties across the U.S., Canada, Caribbean and Latin America.
Marriott Rewards members — which are free to join — receive an extra 5% off and complimentary in-room Wi‑Fi. Use promo code “39B” when reserving at Marriott.com.

9. Red Roof Cyber Monday Deals
Red Roof’s Cyber Monday promotion is straightforward: get up to 30% off bookings made atredroof.com. The deal is valid for stays from Dec. 1, 2015 through Mar. 31, 2016.
Red Roof recently introduced Red Roof PLUS+, an upgraded tier of properties — and the discounts apply to those 36 locations as well.

10. Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) Cyber Monday Deals
SPG’s Cyber Monday event runs from Nov. 23 through Dec. 6, offering up to 25% off at over 1,000 locations — and even as much as 50% at select spots. Stays through Sep. 6, 2016 are eligible.
