Do I need to add anything else?
I honestly haven’t met anyone who dislikes jerky. Travelers, hikers and campers will all tell you how essential this salty, protein-rich snack can be on the road.
Luis Ramallo and his relatives understood that when they launched Alien Fresh Jerky in 2000. The first shop opened in Crystal Springs, Nevada, and later relocated to Baker, California. You can also buy their jerky online.
Since ordering new items online can feel risky — and spending the usual $6–$10 for a bag of jerky makes that risk pricier — Alien Fresh Jerky is handing outfree samples.
Complimentary Jerky Samples
The brand offers a selection of cleverly named beef jerky flavors, along with a Sweet Pork and one classic Turkey Jerky. The turkey variety isn’t eligible for sampling, but the other 17 flavors are up for grabs.
Flavors span from the tame-sounding Honey Teriyaki to something dubbed Colon Cleaner Hot. Wow. I’m not sure I want to imagine just how fiery that one may be.
Per the site, Alien Fresh isn’t just about jerky. Stop by while driving between Las Vegas and California for “healthier snack alternatives for the road warrior,” including nuts, trail mixes, dried fruit, stuffed olives, honey and souvenirs.
There doesn’t appear to be a strict cap… though I’ll confirm that once my samples show up.
It seems this is a relatively small operation that isn’t accustomed to a flood of sample requests. Now that it’s getting attention, they might struggle to fulfill every sample order.
They should reach out to update you on your order status if that happens; it might simply take longer than anticipated for your free jerky to be delivered.
But for the time being… free jerky appears to be available to everyone.
Your Turn: Really, can you think of anyone who wouldn’t enjoy jerky?
