All That and a Bag of Chips: Get Free Lay’s With Your Photo on the Bag

Free Lays Potato Chips With Your Face On The Bag

We discovered a way to put your child’s picture on a bag of potato chips — at no cost.

With Lay’s One Million Summer Moments promotion, you can score a bag of Lay’s potato chips personalized with your favorite Instagram snapshot.

Whether it’s a selfie, a pet portrait or a big family photo, you can literally see yourself on a chips bag.

Yes, it’s a little ridiculous… but it’s also kind of fantastic. And hey, it’s summer — go with it.

I’m already designing a bag for my dad for Father’s Day. You’re welcome for that clever present idea. (Might want to grab him something else to pair with it, though…)

How to Score Your Free Bag of Lay’s Potato Chips

To craft and request your free bag, do the following:

  1. Visit Lays.com before July 9 and click “Create Your Bag.”
  2. Input the two promo codes. If you’re a Lay’s regular, you might have seen these printed on specially marked packages. If you don’t have codes, use LAYS and SUMMER.
  3. Allow the site to connect to your Instagram account, pick the photo you want on the package and add a caption if you like. I picked a radiant shot of my niece in the tutu she wore for her first recital — guaranteed to make my dad melt!
  4. Select your flavor: Original, BBQ or Sour Cream and Onion.
  5. Provide your shipping address.

That’s all there is to it!

After your order is approved, your personalized bag should arrive in the mail. The official info doesn’t specify the bag size, but in previous years it was a full-size bag of chips — likely enough to go with your lunch at minimum.

Keep gathering codes, and you can also enter Lay’s sweepstakes for a shot at paddleboards, grills, beach towels and other seasonal prizes. If you’re comparing snacks for your party, see this potato chips comparison to help pick what to serve.

Your Turn: Which photo will you use on your free bag of potato chips?
