Did you realize you can shop Goodwill from home? You might be familiar with ShopGoodwill, the auction platform where bidders compete for items. But there’s also GoodwillFinds, a site introduced in 2022 that lets you peruse about 100,000 pre-owned items without leaving your sofa. It’s a genuine boon for bargain hunters everywhere.
So, rather than trekking to one of Goodwill’s roughly 3,300 outlets, you can simply click on appealing deals and have them delivered. Because purchases ship from various Goodwill locations across the U.S. and Canada, shipping fees differ by item — yet they’re never hidden. At checkout, you’ll see delivery choices tailored to your address.
The site includes a search box, options to browse by category, featured selections and newly listed finds. Looking for women’s apparel, men’s wear or footwear? Kitchenware, jewelry or books? Home accents? Collectibles? It’s all available.
When donors drop off pre-owned goods at Goodwill stores, staff determine which pieces are suitable for online listing. Each item is checked, and anything stained or in poor condition is excluded from sale.
Goodwill accepts returns for items that arrive damaged or if you received the wrong product. Return and refund rules can differ by seller. GoodwillFinds accepts major credit cards, PayPal and Apple Pay.
The site was developed by a group of Goodwill leaders around the country who wanted to usher Goodwill into the digital era. It’s particularly convenient during the holidays as well.
While we love assembling inexpensive Halloween costumes, the site advises placing online orders for spooky gear by Oct. 20 or earlier. After that date, you’ll likely need to visit a Goodwill store in person to cobble together an affordable zombie or rocker outfit.
Goodwill is a 120-year-old nonprofit — the original trailblazer of thrift stores. When you purchase from Goodwill or from GoodwillFinds, the revenue supports Goodwill’s community-focused social programs across the U.S. and Canada, such as youth mentorship, job placement and skills training.
Plus, it’s an easy method to keep some cash in your wallet.
