On Monday, April 3, Ben & Jerry’s is hosting Free Cone Day at its scoop shops worldwide. In the United States alone there are over 200 Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops where you can claim a free cone.
If you’re craving a complimentary serving of favorites like Cherry Garcia, Chunky Monkey, Half Baked or Phish Food, visit the Ben & Jerry’s spot closest to you between noon and 8 p.m. on Monday.
This marks Ben & Jerry’s 45th consecutive Free Cone Day. Given how popular the event is, it’s wise to arrive early and be prepared for a line.
Fans have been queuing for Free Cone Day since the tradition began in 1979 at the company’s first shop, a converted gas station in Burlington, Vermont. Over the decades it has grown into a global festivity where Ben & Jerry’s hands out roughly a million cones to say thanks to its supporters.
“We appreciate you too, and Free Cone Day is our favorite way to show it!” the ice cream maker stated.
Not into Chunky Monkey? Since Ben & Jerry’s debuts new flavors each year, you’ll likely find alternatives such as Butterscotch’d, Chocolate Peanut Butter Chunk, or Churray for Churros.
The key point is that on Monday, they’re all free.
