If you answered Bath & Body Works, we’d have to agree — it’s hard to beat those irresistible aromas.
We’re fans of nearly everything the chain sells — from body washes to candles. But the scents are the real draw, whether it’s warm vanilla sugar or sweet pea.
That said, those mouthwatering fragrances can add up cost-wise.
Luckily, you’ve come to the right place. From scoring sought-after coupons to knowing when to buy, we’ve collected 11 savvy strategies to save money at Bath & Body Works.
How to Save Money at Bath & Body Works
If the words Wallflowers, three-wick candles and foaming hand soap make you happy, you’re a Bath & Body Works devotee. Here’s how to trim costs on the scents you love.
1. Join the Loyalty Rewards Program
Submitting your email at the bottom of the Bath & Body Works homepage signs you up for the retailer’s email list — expect a steady stream of coupons and promotions.
But if you shop there often — or even occasionally — it’s worth enrolling in the Loyalty Rewards Program. You’ll provide basic details like name, email and phone number.
Beyond the usual sale notices and coupon emails, Loyalty Rewards members receive extra discounts and even a complimentary full-size item just for joining. You’ll also be set up to get text alerts with promo codes and sale announcements.
Plus, every purchase earns points you can redeem for products.
2. Request Snail Mail Coupons
After joining Bath & Body Works’ email list, you can also opt to receive physical coupons by mail. The sign-up isn’t always obvious, but you can add your address via the Submit a Request page.
Paper coupons arrive less often than email deals, but they sometimes come with better perks.
For example, online orders allow only one promo code per purchase. That means if you apply a free-shipping code, other discounts usually can’t be used (Black Friday being a notable exception when multiple codes can be combined).
However, some mailed coupons can be “stacked” in-store — you might get 20% off plus a free (often travel-size) item. Just check the fine print before you head out.
3. Claim a Birthday Present
When you join the Bath & Body Works rewards program you’ll be asked for your birthdate. It’s worth sharing: you’ll receive a coupon during your birthday month for a free full-size product (up to $16.50 value).
Perk: The birthday coupon is a paper offer, so you can combine it with other mailed coupons in-store.
4. Follow on Social Media
Don’t stop at emails — follow Bath & Body Works on social platforms for additional bargains.
Like many brands, Bath & Body Works frequently rolls out special deals and early promotions to its social followers.
Check out its Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter accounts for updates.
5. Complete Receipt Surveys
Besides earning a little extra money from surveys, filling out feedback forms can yield discounts on future purchases.
Bath & Body Works often prints survey invitations on receipts — even for small buys. After you finish the survey, you’ll get a validation code. Write it on the receipt and bring it back on your next visit to redeem a discount.
6. Shop the Major Sales
One major saving tactic at Bath & Body Works? Timing your trip.
The retailer runs semiannual clearance events in January and June — and you can typically stack coupons on top of the 50%-75% markdowns.
Since many items have a long shelf life (the company notes two to three years), these sales are prime moments to stock up.
“Go right when the sale starts if you’re after discontinued items, or near the end if you want the deepest reductions,” advises Heather Comparetto, a former Bath & Body Works team member.
If you have favorite items, sign up for emails to get alerts about specific sales like Candle Day and Body Care Day.
Also, Black Friday is known for big Bath & Body Works discounts and VIP gift bags — and it’s usually the one day when digital coupon stacking is allowed.
7. Browse Bath & Body Works Online
Deals can differ between online and in-store, so check the website before leaving home.
If you haven’t registered your email, at least search for “Bath & Body Works coupons” online to see available codes. You might uncover free-shipping or other promo codes.
Loyalty Rewards members can stack reward codes for even better savings.
If you want to avoid the $6.99 flat shipping fee (or prefer to use a promo code for a discount rather than shipping), choose in-store pickup to save.
8. Buy Discounted Gift Cards
Don’t want to wait for a promotion? Discounted Bath & Body Works gift cards turn up on resale sites like Raise and CardCash.
Pro tip: Purchasing gift cards through a shopping portal and using a cash-back credit card can increase your overall savings.
9. Try Using Recently Expired Coupons (With Caution)
Bath & Body Works used to honor a three-day grace period for expired coupons. While that policy is officially discontinued, shoppers report some locations still accept coupons that recently lapsed.
No promises, but it doesn’t hurt to politely ask if a store will accept a coupon that just expired.
10. Watch Price Changes
Bath & Body Works provides a 14-day price adjustment window for eligible purchases.
Keep an eye on the price of items you bought and act quickly if they drop — this applies to in-store purchases only.
Note: Price adjustments exclude flash or one-day sales.
Also: you must surrender any coupons or promo codes used on the original purchase and then rebuy the item at the reduced price, so ensure the adjustment truly saves you money.
11. Use the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee
Even dedicated Bath & Body Works shoppers sometimes end up with a product they don’t love.
If that happens, don’t accept the loss.
Take advantage of the retailer’s generous 100% satisfaction guarantee: “If at any time you’re not completely satisfied with the quality of our products, you may return them to any of our Bath & Body Works or White Barn Stores in the U.S. for a full refund.”
Deals like these? They really make scents — er, sense.
