NBCUniversal Is Rolling Out a New (FREE) Streaming Service

Peacock Streaming Service: Free & Premium Options

NBCUniversal is offering another incentive to ditch traditional cable and keep more money in your wallet — that is, assuming you haven’t already canceled your subscription.

The media giant is rolling out its new streaming platform, Peacock, across the country on July 15. The best part? You can watch for free.

Peacock provides three tiers for streaming. Peacock Free features over 7,500 hours of programming, including beloved classics and current TV series, films, news, sports, children’s shows and selected episodes of Peacock originals. You can also catch new NBC episodes the day after they air.

For viewers ready to pay for extra content, Peacock Premium offers upwards of 15,000 hours of entertainment for $4.99 per month. Subscribers receive next-day access to current seasons of returning NBC series, earlier access to late-night talk shows and complete seasons of Peacock originals.

Peacock is currently promoting an early sign-up deal that gives you a full year of the premium plan for $29.99.

Opting for $9.99 per month removes commercials entirely.

You might want to join Peacock if you enjoy series such as “Law and Order,” “Chicago Fire,” “Yellowstone,” “30 Rock,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Friday Night Lights,” “Two and a Half Men,” “Frasier,” “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” “The Office,” “Parks and Recreation,” “Superstore,” “Will & Grace,” “Saturday Night Live” and “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

Peacock will also offer films from Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation, including franchises like “Bourne,” “Fast & Furious” and “Despicable Me.”

Beginning July 15, viewers can access Peacock on a variety of devices, such as LG Smart TVs, Vizio SmartCast TVs, Google and Apple gadgets and Microsoft’s Xbox consoles.

If you’re an Xfinity X1 or Xfinity Flex subscriber, you already have Peacock Premium included at no extra charge. If you prefer the ad-free version, there’s an additional $5 monthly fee.
